Brighton Beach in the Sun

Brighton was one of the first places in England that we visited, after moving here late last year. We spent a very ‘wintery’ weekend trying to enjoy Brighton beach in December while most of the country was getting hammered by a storm. I mentioned in the blog post about that last trip that we’d definitely head back to Brighton once the sun came out, and that’s exactly what we did.

We took a train down to Brighton from London, and spent the day lapping up the sun on Brighton beach and strolling through the narrow streets. It was just a day trip, but staying until after the sun set meant that we could enjoy a few drinks on the beach and a quick ride on the carousel. Brighton is such an easy place to get to from London and a great place to spend a sunny day. So if you’re keen for a (pebble) beach and some of the ‘sea-side town’ vibe, Brighton is your place.
