Read, Watch & Listen – January Favourites

How the heck is it January again?! Since moving to the UK, time has gone way too fast.

As is the case with most people during this time of year. I have had a few weeks off work to recharge before taking on 2016. We had an amazing Christmas in Cambridge and New Year’s eve in London, with some great down-time in between.

Catching the train to work most days and now with the winter holidays, I’ve been reading, listening and watching a lot more. So I thought that it might make an interesting segment of the blog, for both of us. You’ll (hopefully) get some new content to check out, and I can look back at what I’ve been enjoying.

Each month I plan to wrangle together a post including something that I’ve enjoyed reading, watching and listening to.

Read

I’m currently about 2/3 of the way through ‘Unbroken’ by Laura Hillenbrand. You might have seen the movie, but I’m going to finish the book first. Unbroken is an amazing true story of how an Olympic runner gets captured during the Second World War.

Read it

Watch

I mentioned this in my newsletter last month, but it’s still the most amazing thing that I’ve watched recently. ‘Untethered’ is a short film about the slacklining and highlining community in Vancouver. This visual masterpiece will have your heart racing and palms sweating.

Listen

If I’m not reading a book on the train, I’m listening to a podcast. I subscribe to a very wide range of podcasts including, business, design, productivity, comedy and adventure. I recently discovered the most hilarious podcast that I’ve heard so far.

The title basically sums up what it involves. ‘My Dad Wrote a Porno’ will have you laughing from start to finish.

Listen to it

If you’re reading, watching, or listening to anything amazing at the moment, let me know!

Until next time,

Henry
